Three Busy Days in Florida

We only got 4.5" of rain on Superbowl Sunday, what a soggy day!  A Monday night sunset cruise on an 80 foot schooner (3 sails) with only six other passengers was the highlight of the day.  Tuesday's adventure was an afternoon/sunset snorkeling trip on a huge 40 foot catamaran.  We went out off of Key West for about seven miles and saw the most beautiful reef, abound with many varied fish of all sizes and colors, probably the best snorkeling we've seen on the trip so far.  Water temp was around 65F so we wore wet suits which helped greatly.  Wednesday we headed north to Everglades National Park, had to take turns guarding the car from vulture "attacks" while taking turns going on a nature walk where we saw gators as well as numerous waterfowl.  There are signs all around the visitor center indicating that the vultures can and do land on parked cars and peck at windshields wipers and any rubber parts showing on cars.  Overnight in Florida City, FL, tomorrow we head to Naples, FL, with additional sidetrips to other areas of this vast national park.
Still haven't mastered picture inserts into the blog and the touchpad on my laptop is acting up so I'm going to look for an external mouse in Naples so I can tackle photos again, sorry!  See you in a few days.
