So Beautiful, but........

First full day on St. Thomas, went downtown and spent several hours exploring the many shops and local vendor tents along the harbor.  Sheila found a sarong amongst other "things".  Walked the 99 steps up to Blackbeard's Castle, lunch in Hibiscus Alley, more store roaming before returning to the Mafolie where we spent several more hrs. at their pool.  Dinner on the porch again and then we retired.  But... today was interesting.  Took a shuttle to Magen's Bay, listed by National Geographic as one of the world's most beautiful beaches.  They, obviously, were not there when five cruise ships had just pulled into St. Thomas.  Jersey shores hit Magen's Bay, I would guess no less than 2000 cruisers were on the beach.  We both needed multiple rum punches while waiting for our return shuttle, oh well!!  Another beautiful night watching several of the cruise ships all illuminated as they slowly left ST.  Banana's flambe` finished off dinner.  One more day on ST, will be trying to get to Mountaintop before the seven cruise ships coming in tomorrow get there, wish us luck.  Very different here on ST than little St John, I think we got spoiled over there.  Until tomorrow (or later), jim&sheila
